The Role of a Will Executor

The Executor is a person that we appoint in our Will. He is the person whom will be applying grant of probate at the Court. Upon extraction of the grant of probate, he will need to settle all debts before transfer the assets as per the Will to the beneficiaries named in the Will.

His role is an important one, thus, selection of a trustworthy Executor is vital. He must be someone who can see through the whole estate administration process and ensure the wishes of the testator is fulfilled.

Normally we apoint our sibilings as the executor, however, do you know that you can appoint a Trust Corporation as your executor in your Will? A trust Corporation is an corporation that will handle all the work of an executor. There are many advantages to appoint a Trust Corporation in a Will.
